Who was the first human in america

if it’s called america then why is there a south america, west, east, north? Why wouldn’t they just say it’s in american but i’m the south, east etc.

Answer:

no one can really be sure who was the very first human in america, but the Clovis people were the 1st type of people to populate the US. If you meant the person who founded america then Christopher Columbus would be your answer.

Also, not part of the answer, but this is marked in chem? not sure its supposed to be.
