In order to break even the store needs to make $4000 a month. They spend $50 per bike and sell them for $150, an easy equation to get their profit per bike is to subtract how .uch they pay for a bike from how much they make per bike which is $150-50=$100. So now we just need to divide $4000 by $100 to find out how many bikes they need to sell. $4000÷$100=40.
