ABO blood type in humans is determined by three alleles: I^A, I^B and i. I^A and I^B are codominant alleles, while both I^A and I^B are dominant to the i allele. Four possible phenotypes of ABO blood types are possible, A, B, AB, or O. The genotypes and phenotypes are as seen in the table below.
