-19k + 16k + 13k - 8k = -20

-3k + 5k = -20

2k = -20

k = -20/2

k = -10

Given the problem:

–19k − –16k + 13k + –8k = –20

(I'm going to assume that is a minus sign between -19k and -16k)

(Subtracting a negative = add)

Combine all like terms:

2k=-20

Divide both sides by 2:

k=-10
