Move all terms to l.h.s.


(1)/(3) x^(2) +2x-9=0

Multiply everything by 3


x^(2) +6x-27=0

Factorize


(x+ 9)(x-3 )=0

therefore


x+9=0 or
x-3 =0

x= -9 or x =3

Since x is a positive answer the answer must be

x=3
