Two cyclists start at the same point and travel in opposite directions. One cyclist travels 6 mih faster than the other. If the two cyclists are 60 miles apart after 2 hours, what is the rate of each cyclist?

Answer:

12 and 18

Explanation:

60 miles in 2 hours, so that means together the cyclists are traveling at 30mph,

one is traveling at 6mph more so 30mph-6mph =24

24/2=12

so the slower one is going at 12mph and the other at 18mph
