President Eisenhower’s Native American plan failed due to the fact that it simply received too much opposition. The Native American communities resisted the policy frequently and deliberately opposed the forced removal. The plan was also met with opposition by courts, politicians, and activists, who all felt the policy was racist and broke the agreements/treaties made with the tribes.
