just remember trigonometric ratios which are


sin = (opposite)/(hypotenus) \\ cos = (adjecent)/(hypotenus) \: and \\ tan = (opposite)/(hypotenus)

following that substitute given values to solve for x.


sin55 = (x)/(14)

solve for x


x = 14 \sin(55)

And


\cos(35) = (x)/(14)

solve for x


x = \cos(35)
