Plug in 4 for all the x values and 5 for all the z values in the equation given:

[z+(-1(z-x))] = [5 + (-1 (5 - 4))]

Solve using PEMDAS rules
= [5 + (-1 (5 - 4))]
= [5 + (-1 (1))]
= [5 + (-1)]
= [5 - 1]
= 4
