g(x) = - x² + 10x - 3

To get the g(9) substitute X in the equation for 9

g(9) = - 9² + 10(9) -3

g(9) = 81 + 90 - 3

g(9) = 171 - 3

g(9) = 168

Similarly to get g(-1)

g(-1) = - (-1)² + 10(-1) - 3

g(-1) = - 1 - 10 - 3

g(-1) = - 14
