and 7x - 3y = 13 ............(2)

now multiply equation (1) by 3 and equation (2) by 2, we get,

15x - 6y = 30 ............(3)

14x - 6y = 26 ............(4)

after substracting equation (3) and (4) we get,

x = 4

after putting the value of x in eq (3) we get,

15 * 4 - 6y = 30

=> 60 - 6y =30

=> y = -30/ -6

=> y = 5

so, the vale of x and y is 4 and 5 respectively.
