Given that a = 4 cm and b = 9 cm, work out the area of the triangle. Give your answer rounded to 1 DP. The diagram is not drawn accurately.

To determine the area of a truangle the formula (b*h) /2 shall be used.

In this problem the base is 9 cm and the height is 4 cm. therefore those two values should be multiplied, thus giving 36cm. Lastly, 36 should be divided by 2 which should be 18 cm.
