What are the differences between upper and lower canada

The major difference between northern and southern Canada are the population densities. It is (I believe) something like 80% of the population lives below the Toronto line in the south. And the rest of the northern Canada has less than 20%.

Answer:

Lower Canada covered the southeastern portion of the present-day province of Quebec, Canada, and (until 1809) the Labrador region of Newfoundland and Labrador. Upper Canada covered what is now the southern portion of the province of Ontario and the lands bordering Georgian Bay and Lake Superior.
