Love is not portrayed extensively in Macbeth, but there are a few instances where it is mentioned or implied. For example, Duncan speaks fondly of his kinship with Macbeth and Banquo, and Lady Macbeth expresses her love for her husband in her soliloquy in Act 1, Scene 5. Additionally, Malcolm and Donalbain, Duncan's sons, express love and loyalty to their father after his murder.
