Simplify, 5(2x+4)-3(-6-x).
5(2x+4)-3(-6-x)
=> 10x+20-3(-6-x), distributed the 5 into (2x+4)
=> 10x+20+18+3x, distributed the -3 into (-6-x)
=>13x+38, combined like terms
Thus, 5(2x+4)-3(-6-x) simplified is 13x+38.
