Motivations for europe colonization

Most of the immigrants to come out of Europe at the time of this “colonization” were none other than individuals trying to escape religious persecution. No different than the “asylum seekers” you hear so much about today.
Escaping home life and the idea of an untouched “new” world would entice people to go check it out for themselves.
