Answer is most definitely A.
The reason it is NOT B. is as follows
The Korean Peninsula is STILL not unified today. You still have Separate entities backing the north and backing the south.
The south is democratic. While the north is authoritarian dictatorship.
The Korean peninsula hasn’t been unified for decades.
