1. Native Americans passed on their tribes history, beliefs and values through stories. Another way they did this was by naming places as what the area around them looked like, or even after significant events.

3. English settlers’ first goal was to claim/establish land. Establishing solid towns that could survive would ultimately help them claim land easier as well, for they would have resources from pre-establish areas.
