Find the volume of a cone with a base radius of 3in and a height of 11in. Use the value 3.14 for π, and do not do anu rounding. Be Sure to include the correct unit in your answer.

Solution:

So the formula to find the volume of a cone is,


V = \pi r^(2) (h)/(3)

Given,

  • Base of the cone is 3 inches
  • Height of the cone is given as 11 inches

To Find : The Volume of the cone

Applying the values we get,


V = 3.14X(3)^(2) X (11)/(3)


V = 28.26X(11)/(3)


V = 103.62in^(3)

Hence , the volume of the cone is 103.62in³
