Define first person point of view and third person point of view.

Look back at your opinion essay. What point of view did you use? Do you think this was an effective point of view? Why or why not?

Answer: First person pov is when the a character is telling a story through their eyes. Third person pov is when someone is telling a story from an outsider's perspective.

Explanation: While I can't help you answer the second part of your question (since I haven't read your essay) I can help you with the first part. First person is like if Harry Potter told his own story instead of a narrator. Percy Jackson is written in first perspective. Third perspective is the most commonly used. It is when you tell someone else's story (often times by someone who isn't even in the story). Taking the same example in Harry Potter, the books are written from an outsider's point of view, by someone who isn't even in the story.
