the range of the graph is simply the region that it covers vertically, well, from the picture we can see the graph goes down down down to -2 vertically, makes an U-turn and goes back up, the arrowheads mean it keeps on going to infinity, so vertically the graph never goes below -2, so its range is just from -2 up to infinity, or in interval notation [ -2 , +∞ ).
