How to evaluate 3x-5/y for x = 3, y = 4

Answer: 7.75 (easy as cake)

Explanation:
if x=3 then 3x is 3*3 which is 9
so the problem becomes 9-5/y
and if y=4 then 5/y is 5/4 which is 1.25.
so then the problem becomes 9-1.25 which is:
7.75
