Why were some slaves traded? in roots

Answer: For the benefit of the owner

Explanation: Sometimes slaves were traded for money, tools, and even other slaves. Some owners desired women for less laborsome jobs. Other strong men, for tiresome jobs. But in the end all slave was for the benefit of a white slave owner.
