One is that it drained France of its manpower and its resources. Many men who joined the French army lost their lives and the amount of resources needed to supply his army took a toll on the country. Later the French monarchy was restored but the Revolution movements erupted in Europe that toppled my monarchial governments including that of France and the Second French Republic was restored.
