denominator stay the same 12. add 7+5 which is 12. 12\12 is a whole. 6+4 is 10 plus the 1 from the fraction. answers 11

Add 6 and 4 which will be ten, 5 plus 7 will be 12 so you add 1 more whole to 10 making 11
