C. the cyclops reflects negative cultural values of ancient greece

An inference is something that is implied in the text. This means you must "read between the lines". When Odysseus lands on the island of the Cyclops, the Cyclopes race is described as on that is savage. They beat their children and wives, do not act as a community, or tend to their land. Odysseus and his men help themselves to the Cyclops food. Excellent hospitality was a strong cultural value in Ancient Greece that the Cyclops does not follow. He was angry with Odysseus and his men for intruding into this home and eating his food, so the Cyclops decided to eat them.

Inference is something you can infer, or implicitly deduce based on the text you are reading. A is obviously stated in that epic. B and D are mere facts.
The correct answer is C, the cyclops reflects negative cultural values of ancient Greece.
