Jayleen ordered more fabric because there are 100 centimeters in a meter. Converting 145 into meters would get you 1.45 meters. Using place value knowledge, then you should see that 1.5 meters is greater than 1.45 meters. Hope that helped!

Jayleen: 1.5 meters

I'm going to convert Jayleen's into centimeters:
1 meter has 100 centimeters

1.5 x 100 = 150 centimeters

so,
Bria:145 centimeters
Jayleen: 150 centimeters

So, Jayleen bought more fabric
