False. It is not too strange that Shakespeare put comedy into his tragedies. This is known as comic relief, the use of comedy to relieve tension in a serious work.

The statement is false.

Comic relief was used by Shakespeare in many of his plays, such as Macbeth, Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet and The Merchant of Venice. Therefore, this writer resorted to comic relief mainly in his tragedies. Comic relief is the incorporation of a humorous scene, character or dialogue in a piece of writing or moment of a literary work that tends to be more serious. Therefore, one important reason why Shakespeare used comic relief in his tragedies was to ease tensions.
