The axial skeleton.

The skeletal system of the human body is furthermore subdivided into two distinct types, the axial and appendicular skeleton.

The axial skeleton is located almost the midportion of the human body which has 80 constituent bones and has 6 parts; the skull, the ossicles of the ear (tiny bones), sternum, rib cage, vertebral column and hyoid bone.
