A bag contains 5 chocolate, 3 peanut butter, 4 oatmeal and 4 sugar cookies.

If 2 cookies are selected randomly, what is the probability that they will be the same kind?

Please explain.

Well, for example using chocolate you have a 5 in 16 chance of getting a chocolate first. Then the ratio will get smaller making it a 4 in 15 chance that you will get chocolate next. If that makes any sense?
