It was the Committee of Public Information that was created in April 13, 1917. It utilized many forms of medium to encourage Americans to enlist to support the war effort versus foreign attempts to undermine the aims of the United States through propaganda. They used radio, newspapers, telegraph and even movies to get attention to contribute to war cause.
