Muhammad's followers wrote his prophecies and teachings into the Quran, or holy book of Islam. Islam is the religion expounded by the Prophet Muhammad (570-632 C.E.) on the basis of his reception of divine revelations, while Quran is the central religious text of Islam which collects Muhammad's perception of divine revelations.
