Some people are used to the environment they work or study in. Maybe they listen to music on the radio while they work or study. Maybe the room they work or study in is cold and bright, or hot and dim. If this environment changes, then the person may not get as much studying or work done. Or they might avoid it all together because they are uncomfortable.
