You are decorating your bedroom. To get the paint colour you want, you mix 2 parts red with 3 parts cream and 1 part blue.

How much cream and blue paint will you need to mix with 4 litres of red?

The cream paint is 3/2 of the red, since there are three parts cream for every two parts red.  Similarly, the blue paint is 1/2 of the red.  Thus, there are 3/2*4=6 liters cream paint and 1/2*4=2 liters blue paint.

Answer:

6 liters of cream.

2 liters of blue.

Explanation:

We are given that To get the paint colour you want, you mix 2 parts red with 3 parts cream and 1 part blue.

Ratio is 2:3:1

Now we are given that we need to calculate how much cream and blue paint will you need to mix with 4 litres of red

Since we are mixing 2 parts of red and we have 4 litres

⇒2 times 2 = 4 litres

So, since they mix 3 parts of cream

Thus 3*2= 6 lites

So they use 6 liters of cream.

Since they mix 1 parts of blue

Thus 1*2= 2 liters

So, they use 2 liters of blue.
