Suppose that you have a solution of 8% sugar water in a bag. The bag is semi-permeable: water molecules can pass into and out of it, but sugar molecules cannot. Predict what will happen to the mass of the bag if you put into each of the following:

A breaker of pure water:
A breaker of 8% sugar water:
A breaker of 15% sugar water:

Can you please describe each scenarios

since the sugar particles cannot pass through, the bag acts like a filter.

a beaker of pure water will go through the bag, as the bag is semi-permeable and lets water in and out.

a beaker with 8% sugar concentrate in water, the water will go through, but that will leave you with the 8% of sugar. Some mass will be left in the bag

a beaker with 15% sugar dissolved in it, will act the same as the 8% solution, but it will leave behind a greater mass.
