The correct answer is d. Eisenhower. It was shortly after Korea that Eisenhower decided that France should be helped with their issues in South Vietnam who was their colony. The northerners wanted to separate and establish a communist state, so the war began and when Frane pulled out, the USA stayed and the rest is history.
