The patriots were determined to win, and gain their independence from Great Britain. They no longer wanted to be controlled by Great Britain, and if they kept fighting, they would gain their independence, and be able to govern themselves.

What do u think would make a patriot soldiers keepfighting even under terrible conditions like the ones they faced when crossing delaware
