Why do dog owners use a whistle that they can't hear?

The whistle that dog owners use have a high frequency that only dogs can hear. So dog owners use a dog whistle to call to their dog when its really noisy or don't want to make a large noise blowing a real whistle. Hope this helps.

♥ When a dog owner blows the whistle, only dogs can hear it. This is because the type of frequency that it has. If the Owens heard it, it would most likely hurt there ears. The large frequency singles the dog to stop what there doing. Its good when out in public and you don't want to blow a large whistle. :)
