6x=6* x=6\cdot x\\\\substitute\ x=(2)/(3)\ to\ 6x:\\\\6*(2)/(3)=(\\ot6^2)/(1)*(2)/(\\ot3_1)=2*2=4

You have only listed one value for 'x'.

If 'x' is 2/3, then 6x is (6 times 2/3). That's 12/3 or 4 .
