The Mycenaeans were the ones who conquered the Minoans. Prior to their downfall, they inhabited Crete from 2500 to 1400 B.C. They built ships, grew grapes, olives and traded with exchanged goods with other people such Greeks, Egyptians and other people in the Mediterranean region. They were named after their King Minos. Their city was called Knossos and it was protected by their navy. Their civilization came to an end due to internal turmoil and raids caused by the Myceneans.
