since gray and white make up 1/3 of the bag, (2+1+6=9 ; 2+1=3 ; 3/9=1/3) then then the answer would be 1/3 of 45, which is 15

Answer:

15 white or gray marbles

Explanation:

Be

A = 6 red marbles

B = 2 white marbles

C = 1 gray marble

R = 45 process repetition

T = 6 + 2 + 1 = 9 Total marbles

P (B U C) = Possibility of obtaining white or gray marbles once

The probability of an event is calculated by dividing the number of successes by the total possibilities, in this case that is

P(B)=(2)/(9)

P(C)=(1)/(9)

P(B U C)=(2)/(9)+(1)/(9)=(3)/(9)=(1)/(3)

As the process is repeated 45 times, the possibility of obtaining white or gray marbles is the multiplication of

45*(1)/(3)=15 white or gray marbles

Hope this helps!
