The islands of Guam, Corregidor, and Wake were all invaded by forces from the empire of Japan during the campaign of the Pacific in the Second World War.

Guam was overtaken by the Japanese on December 8th, 1941. As well as the island of Wake. This happened one day after the attack on Pearl Harbor. Corregidor suffered the same fate on May 6th, 1842. The fall of Corregidor meant the completion of Japanese control over the Philippines.
