1170 is actually incorrect.

You have six congruent triangles. Each has a height of 26 and a base of 30.
So one triangle will have an area of (26 * 30) / 2 = 390.
We have six triangles, so the area will be 390 * 6 = 2340

What is the area of the regular hexagon shown?
