What role dose advertising play in the lives of youth?

Influences them as they are young and more easy perswaded/dont realise the full potential or the uselessness of the product.

Its also the case of seeing something 'cool' adverised and thinking 'I would be alot cooler with that product'

Also peer presure plays a big part in this.
