The correct answer is "elevated style".

This is because all of the other options do not belong to a true epic, and fit more with a satire. A true epic is supposed to be serious and present a great deed by the main hero or the heroes.

The epic is a genre that exalt the courage and deeds of the hero. Achilles is an exemplification of the valour, and highly positive traits that an epic hero must have. All the adventures and deeds in the epic are told using an elevated style, option B, in order to magnify the actions of the hero, who is susceptible to external forces, the wrath or benevolence of the Gods, as we can read in "The Odyssey" and "The Illiad".
