Central America is a region on the American Continent. When the American Continent is separated into two continents, Central America is part of the Northern America.
It is a region with seven countries, which are, from north to south: Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Panama.
Most central American countries are countries where Spanish is spoken. One exception is Belize, whose main language is English. Additionally, some native American languages are spoken, mostly Mayan languages.
