How did the government try to stop the spread of revolution ideas between 1815-1830?

Assuming you're referring to the revolutions that took place in Europe during this time, the governments of these nations were mostly monarchies, and used swift and drastic physical force to put down many of the uprisings, which usually failed quickly due to a lack of organization and/or enthusiasm.
