Liutenant Colonel James Harold "Jimmy" Doolitle led the Doolittle Raid in 1942. The Doolittle Raid (also known as the Tokyo Raid) was an air raid by the US, bombing Tokyo and other places in the Honshu Island. This raid was a retaliation after Pear Harbour was bombed on the previous year. This was a big bost for the American morale after they had damage the Japanese morale. There were sixteen US Army Forces B-25 Mitchell Medium Bomber were deployed from the US Navy Aircraft, USS Hornet.
