If you assume that the original price of the jacket equals X, that means that when it was on sale, the equation to finding the price after the 30% sale would be (1-0.3)X=21 (since 30% of X would mean that Keiko should've paid 70%). That would simplify to 0.7X=21. Therefore, the original price (X) will be $30.

30/100=3/10
3 divided by 21 = 7
7*10 = 70!
