the boers and the british fought over southern africa for the land, Europeans had started conquering Africa and dividing it, and southern africa was full of resources

diamonds was found in south America. so people rushed there. The Boers didn't want people to gain political rights. They tried to start a religion against the Boers but it didnt work out. So they blamed British and took up arms Against them.
